Titanic fabric removed from ship

RMS Titanic, 1912, White Star Heritage Collection

This piece of green felt was fitted onto the Titanic, likely as the surface of a table within the First Class Smoking Room.

Purported to have been taken from the Titanic as a souvenir before its maiden voyage in Belfast, Ireland.

It’s likely the fabric was taken from a cart table within the First Class Smoking Room, during the fitting out phase.
